Hello and Welcome to the first match preview for this new Motherwell FC site. I Stuart Rae will be doing a match report for every game. I will get this done and try and get them all up on Fridays before the match.
On Saturday we face Dundee United. Lately manager Paul Hegarty and his team were sacked and yesterday chairman Eddie Thompson appointed Ian McCall as the new manager. This will all hopefully affect the United team and maybe 'Well will leave with the win. In team news 'Well have Stevie Hammell back from suspension. James McFadden is in the second match of his 4 match ban while goalie Francois Dubourdeau will sit in the stand as he was stupidly sent off on Wednesday night against Kilmarnock. Missing because of injury are Kemas and Dirk Lehmann. Latest signings Tony Vaughan and Richard Offiong are expected to make the journey to Dundee and maybe even a start all depends on how Terry Butcher feels.
Inside Tannadice there ain't much team news but it is expcted that Ian McCall will start making some changes from last weeks game. We could see players such as Billy Dodds and Gary Bollan playing.
Tommorrow will be a good game and hopefully many Well fans will travel up and see a good match. I am expecting the game to be tough and I can see it being a dream start for Ian McCall as I can see it being Dundee United 2 Motherwell 1.
Lets all get along and support the boys including Stevie Woods who we all expect to be in goal.
